The role you will play:

  • Assist Purchasing Department with Inventory management, validating, tracking, and counting at month-end.
  • Update the inventory pricing monthly and prepare Inventory Sales Report for month-end close.
  • Record Billings entry, Check deposits, reconcile and manage Account Receivables/Collections.
  • Record Account Payables entries and process payments as needed for affiliates.
  • Assist with overhead expense allocations for shared services, equipment, and vehicle billings.
  • Prepare journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close to record accruals, amortizations, and proper balance sheet classifications and review others’ entries
  • Review others’ work in the department including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist with various month-end financial closing process to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial results.
  • Accounting for projects including affiliates/subsidiaries, software license & maintenance, and capital leases
  • Work on projects geared towards process improvements and identify opportunities towards automation. Drive projects to completion and seek ways to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and assist with development of new ones. Improve internal processes and controls, communicate and train individuals within the Company
  • Supports the accounting team and other members on special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience Required

  • Associate or higher in Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of three (3+) years of experience in accounting, construction experience preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including advance Excel skills.
  • Background in construction industry, knowledgeable Texas Sales Tax, and experience in equipment and inventory accounting are plus.
  • Focus on work quality – accurate, thorough, and strong attention to details.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management in various departments.
